8 Teacher Organization Tips

When your classroom is in order, you and your students benefit because an organized classroom environment supports the teaching and learning process.  Here are 8 teacher organization tips that you can apply immediately to create a learning environment that helps you move through your teaching day smoothly and purposefully to be the best teacher that you desire to be.  

1 - De-clutter your classroom by selling or donating any teaching resources that you are not currently using or plan to use in the future.  

2 - Invest in storage bins of various sizes to manage your teaching and learning resources.

3 - Ensure that the tools you use frequently are organized and easily accessible.

4 - Invest in a functional planner to manage both your professional and personal schedules.

5 - Invest in stationary such as sticky notes, pre-made labels, markers, and tape to label all your resources.

6 - Create a filing system to manage the influx of paperwork.

7 - Digitize your paper resources by creating PDF documents, and storing them in a cloud management system.

8 - In the cloud management system, organize your digital files into folders labeled by unit, theme, month, grade level, or subject.
